Extra-Curricular Activities

                             

Here at Danegrove we’re proud to offer a variety of after-school activities and clubs.

At Danegrove Primary School, we pride ourselves on providing a variety of Extra Curricular Clubs. Our aim is to develop children’s skills, knowledge and understanding in a fun and safe environment. The majority of our clubs are delivered by our own staff to ensure a high quality and standard in each session. Some of the clubs offer fantastic external opportunities to represent the school in matches, tournaments and festivals against other schools. Music Tuition

The school has a fine tradition of providing additional musical opportunities for its pupils.   Tuition is provided for many of our pupils from Year 3 upwards, who benefit from instrumental tuition for woodwind, brass, string and keyboard instruments.  There is also a school choir who perform at the Barnet Music festival and other local and school events. 

Clubs on Offer

Clubs offered across the school year range enormously according to the term and the age range of the pupils. We currently run arts and crafts, football (mixed and girls), netball, hockey, multi-sports, drama, gymnastics, Spanish, basketball, athletics, boxercise, tennis, dance, tag rugby, running club, chess, table tennis, creative writing and KS2 choir.

Jems Club 

Natalie Green currently attends our Ridgeway Avenue site and delivers Junior Exercise and Movement to children in Foundation and Year 1.

Lemon Jelly

Lemon Jelly are dedicated to nurturing young minds using performing arts, by fostering creativity and empowering children to become confident leaders of tomorrow.

Acting Up

Acting up offers two clubs for KS2 pupils at the school, a drama club and a creative writing club. 

Street Dance

Dance Wright offers fun, energetic and dynamic dance classes by teaching elements of Street Dance to the latest songs and old school classics. There are lots of opportunities to perform and be part of this thriving dance school.
