Assemblies
At Danegrove Primary School, we have a variety of assemblies, where our community comes together to celebrate, share learning and further develop an understanding of the wider world.
- In our Celebration Assembly we award our class certificates (2 per class, selected by class teachers), celebrate the class/es with the best attendance and announce the house point totals. We also celebrate school sporting achievements and children taking on pupil roles.
- Themed assemblies are on either the school values or an event linked to the time of year, such as Remembrance Day, Comic Relief or World Book Day etc.
- Singing Assembly - Ridgeway Avenue, where our younger children come together to both develop their singing skills and to just enjoy the opportunity to sing together.
- Class Assemblies - Classes from years two to six showcase their knowledge and understanding of a topic from the curriculum, alongside sharing some of their amazing work. Parents are invited to attend.
In the Autumn term, our themed assemblies include:
- New School Values
- National Poetry Day
- Remembrance Day
- World Kindness Day
- Dyslexia Awareness Week
- Rosh Hashanah
- Anti-bullying week
- Road Safety
- Black History Month
- Diwali
- Universal Children's Day
- Christmas around the World
