Aim of learning: adding on a number line (or taking away if you have to get back) from 1-20
How many players: 2+
You will need: a number line, a pen, one dice and 5 counters each.
How to play: Take it in turns to choose five numbers and circle each one. These are your snake pits!
Each player has 5 counters that they are trying to get safely across the number line one at a time. Each player takes it in turn to roll the dice and move along the number line. If you land on a snake pit you lose the counter and have to start again with another one on your next go. Whoever can get the most counters safely across wins the game.
